The tide started by the Italian ISSINOVA engineers, who use a Decathlon snorkel mask, and turn it into a respirator mask thanks to the 3D printing of a valve, floods the internet articles about 3D printing in the last hours.
Interest in this solution has come quickly to Spain and hospitals across the country have got down to work. We have been working on the same idea for a week, and in contact with the Royo Villanova Hospital in Zaragoza we are already manufacturing the first units.
3D printing technology allows us to act in unsuspected ways even to ourselves at breakneck speeds. Every day new initiatives, improvements and designs and challenges flourish and there is 3D printing to adapt quickly.
We use the print speed of Carbon DLS technology and the FPU50 material that is best suited to achieve watertightness in the first test. Day by day we improve the design. We will keep you informed of progress.
